Casa Moderna is a Maltese family business selling Made-in-Italy kitchens, bedrooms, living and dining furniture from our Santa Venera showroom. Everything from the first sketch to the last screw is handled in-house, by people who see the same customer through the whole project. It’s hands-on work, and the standard is high.
These are the parts of the business we recruit for. We don’t always have a specific vacancy open, but we do read every application, and we keep good ones in mind.
Planning kitchens and bedrooms with customers, from the first measurements to the signed order.
Looking after everyone who walks in or calls, and keeping orders moving after they’re placed.
Receiving containers, checking goods in, and preparing every delivery so nothing arrives missing.
Getting furniture into Maltese homes and fitting it properly: carefully, on time, first time.
Measuring properties before manufacture, so a made-to-measure kitchen fits the wall it was made for.
Invoicing, payments, supplier orders and the paperwork that keeps all of the above honest.
Photography, social, the website and the online store: showing the work as well as it deserves.

Applications come straight to the person who handles our hiring, and go no further. Nobody in the showroom sees them, and we never discuss an application with a current or previous employer without asking you first.
Your CV is stored securely and read only by the people making the hiring decision.
We delete your application after six months, or two years if you ask us to keep you in mind for future roles, and you can have it deleted sooner at any time.
Please don’t include your ID card number, date of birth, a photo, health or family details. We don’t need them, and we’d only have to delete them.
We never ask what you earn now or what you earned before. Where a specific role is advertised, its pay is stated up front. Otherwise we tell you before any interview.

Only what we need to assess your application: your name, email address and phone number, the area you’re applying for, your confirmation that you may work in Malta and speak Maltese and/or English, anything you choose to write in the message box, and the documents you attach. We also record the date, time and IP address of your submission as evidence of your consent.
Those two confirmations are job requirements, and we ask them as a plain yes. We do not ask your nationality, where you were born, or what kind of permit you hold. Whether you may work here is the only part that concerns us.
We use it solely to consider you for work with us, to contact you about your application and, if you get that far, to arrange an interview. We do not use it for marketing, we do not profile you, and no decision about you is made by automated means.
Your identity card or passport number, date of birth, photograph, nationality, marital or family status, health information, trade-union membership, religion, or anything else in the “special category” under Article 9. We don’t need any of it to judge your application. If you send it anyway we will delete it.
Only the person responsible for hiring at Casa Moderna, and where relevant the manager of the department you applied to. It is stored in our own business system, hosted on servers within the EU, and is not sold, shared with recruiters, or transferred outside the EU/EEA. We will not contact a current or previous employer for a reference without asking you first.
You can ask us to give you a copy of what we hold, correct it, delete it, restrict or object to how we use it, or send it to you in a portable format. The confirmation email we send you carries a one-click link that deletes your application outright, with no reason needed, no questions asked. For anything else, email [email protected] and we’ll answer within one month.
If you think we’ve handled your data badly, you can complain to the Office of the Information and Data Protection Commissioner in Malta.
We consider every applicant on what they can do. We don’t ask what you earn or earned before, and we don’t discriminate on grounds of sex, gender identity, age, disability, race, ethnic origin, religion or belief, sexual orientation, or family responsibilities.
This removes your application and every document you sent us from our systems, permanently. It cannot be undone, and you don’t have to give a reason.
